PC Refresh Project
We have been busy this week over in our Malvern office preparing these custom-built Terra PC’s for one of our fantastic clients.
How often should you replace your computers?
We would be delighted if you replaced them on an annual basis! But of course, that is never going to happen.
WLS IT Solutions only supply PC’s to our business customers with a Three Year On-Site Warranty. With that in mind, you should think about replacing your computers no earlier than every Three Years. After three years, when the warranty has run out, you need to consider the potential time lost should a computer fail. The chances are the employee who uses that particular computer will be less productive, meaning lost time, and we all know what time equals!
What Specification do I need?
Again, you need to consider employee productivity here. You could get a cheap off the shelf computer for peanuts! But how long will it last? How reliable will it be? Is it adequate for your business?
WLS IT Solutions will recommend a PC specification depending on what you need today and for the PC’s lifetime. It is no good having a computer that is old and slow after just a few months!
I haven’t replaced my computers for a very long time!
What you need to consider in this scenario is this.
Are your computers a security risk?
Suppose you have not replaced your IT equipment for a long time. In that case, there is a very distinct possibility that the operating system is no longer protected with the latest security patches.
IT Security is a cat & mouse game, with the bad actors coming up with new ways to break into your systems. As part of our service to our clients, we make sure your computers are always up to date. However, if you have a Windows 7, 8 or even some versions of Windows 10, you may be at risk. Get in touch with us today, and we will be happy to advise.
Can you do this for me, so I don’t have to worry about it?
Of course! We provide full-service contracts for your business; we will be your internal IT team at a fraction of the cost of employing your own staff. Your staff will be on first name terms with us, and we will be on hand to advise and recommend solutions for your business as you grow. We have far too many years of experience to count (we don’t want to accept our age!), so please reach out to us. We will be happy to help.
